The Europe Committee WAGGGS

The Europe Committee WAGGGS was elected by delegates to the 12th European Guide Conference, which met in Slovenia in May 2007. Find out more about the Europe Committee on this page - you can contact each Committee Member by clicking on their name.

The members of the Europe Committee are: 

Fabiola Canavesi - Chairman
(Italy) (Age: 41-50)
Fabiola was first elected to the Europe Committee WAGGGS in 2004, where she was responsible for the Trainers’ Resource Pool. In her professional life, since 2000, Fabiola has been responsible for the Research and Development Office of the Italian Friesian National Breeder Association. 



Lara Tonna - Vice-Chairman
(Malta) (Age: 30-40)
Before her election to the Europe Committee, Lara was a member of the Trainers’ Resource Pool of the Europe Region, having also previously been a trainer multiplier for WAGGGS.  Professionally, Lara is a teacher and lecturer in physical education in Malta.



Evgenia Beliakova
(Belarus) (Age: under 30)
Evgenia has experience in international Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting through her involvement in the GOLD project in Belarus and other international events.  Evgenia is studying languages, and currently is a volunteer at Pax Lodge. 

Midge Coombs
(United Kingdom) (Age: under 30)
Midge has been a member of the  External 
Representatives Pool for the Europe Region WAGGGS since 2004.  In her professional life, Midge is an Assistant Manager in information  technology.
                      
Medeea Gabriela Negutescu
(Romania) (Age:30-40)
Medeea has been involved in a number of projects with an international dimension, within and outside Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting.  Professionally she is an executive assistant in an international organisation based in Romania.

                      
Finna Sigurdardottir
(Iceland) (Age: under 30)

Finna has been involved in international level within her Association for a number of years.  She is currently studying in Denmark, and works part-time as an assistant nurse.
