Sunday
After the celebrations of the opening ceremony, the 12th European Guide Conference was formally opened on Sunday. Reflecting the theme of Celebration, the delegates were welcomed with balloons, music and excitement in a conference hall decorated in the Europe Regional colour! Earlier in the day, the European Guide and Scout Conference was also formally opened and also began with a review of the last three years. The fun and success of Roverway was remembered (very fondly by those that participated!) and there was an opportunity to hear for the first time about Roverway 09’.
Finally the candidates for the next committee presented themselves followed by presentations from and to host the next conference.
The evening was devoted to a very colourful and sometimes boisterous International Evening.
The highlight of the afternoon was the presentation of the Triennium Report. The new WAGGGS game show called “Who wants to be a Waggggsieaire”. Contestants competed for the grand prize of one million Wagggsies. Based on the popular game show who wants to be a millionaire, contestants had to answer questions about WAGGGS and regional activities over the last triennium. During the game the delegates celebrated the success of Eurolife and the Swap Shop and the many other achievements of this triennium. The contestants won the top prize of one million "wagggsies".
After coffee we divided into informal feedback groups where delegates could ask the Committee and staff questions and give comments about the work of the Region over the last three years.
After the groups the delegates used coloured bricks to evaluate the goals and made towers to represent the levels of satisfaction.

The day’s proceedings closed with the presentation of the Proposed Motions.
