The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts is a global organization of 10 million girls. The Europe Region is one of five regions of WAGGGS, providing over 1 million girls and young women in Europe with the opportunity to develop leadership and life skills, so that they can become self-motivated, responsible and active participants of their local communities and at all levels of society.
We represent, at European level, 65 national Girl Guide and Girl Scout organizations from 38 countries in Europe. Click here to meet our members.
Together with each National Association, we provide non-formal educational programmes and training to fulfill our mission:
to enable girls and young women to develop their fullest potential to become responsible citizens of the world

We have developed partnerships at European level with the Council of Europe, the European Commission and the European Youth Forum to represent the interests of our members and to influence and contribute to the issues affecting young people living in Europe today. Click here to find out more.
Throughout Europe, our Member Organizations work with young people on a range of issues, including adolescent health, adolescent pregnancy, girl’s education, HIV and AIDS and trafficking in girls and women.
Girl Guiding/ Girl Scouting helps young people to understand the realities of living in today’s multicultural and intercultural Europe.
